Katy Bowman has worked at Google since 2007, spending her first 17 years in data center operations and construction at the company’s first data center in The Dalles, Oregon. In 2024 she moved to the Economic & Community Development team, which is committed to supporting and strengthening the communities our data centers call home.
Katy is now the Global Lead for Google’s Skilled Trades & Readiness (STAR) Portfolio, as well as the Community & Workforce Development Manager for The Dalles. She is honored to be of service to Google’s data center communities, and is privileged to witness the individual and collective stories of our community neighbors.
